HOW IT STARTED

A WORD FROM OUR FOUNDER

In September of 2016, I was going through an interesting, yet challenging season in my life. My spirit was battling with faith without action. For those of you who might not know me on a personal level, I am man who has tried to be very intentional in being the hands and feet of Jesus and I seemed to be in an environment that wasn’t stimulating nor encouraging me to fulfill just that, being the hands and feet of Jesus in the methods He has blessed me with. Yet, despite my frustration and before my Spirit was absolutely crushed and broken, the Lord shined a light in my darkness. At that time, I started reading a book by Wilfredo de Jesus called, In the Gap. As I was literally two pages into the book, before reaching the first chapter, a vision flashed before my eyes; I saw creatives (artists, musicians, etc.) and different spiritual leaders gathering together in a place in what seemed like an invigorating and stimulating atmosphere that produced action, developed stronger and new relationships, and built platforms for creatives skills to be used to share the Gospel, feed the poor, help the homeless, and more. I then saw Pastors, who seemed to have been battling broken friendships and relationships with other pastors or pastors who struggled with finding a common ground with other spiritual leaders, uniting on a new common ground with a strong intention of partnering with one another to better fulfill their mission on this earth. After the vision ended I was stunned. I thought to myself, “Did I just have a vision from God?” and I immediately grew with excitement and immediately called a few close friends and mentors to help me understand the vision from God.
